Eviction Answer Guide

When someone is served a Summons and Complaint based on eviction, the time to respond is usually three business days. We have created an answer guide that asks you questions and creates an answer based on those questions. At the end of the Eviction Answer Guide, you will have the opportunity to email the answer, and any documents you upload to the answer, directly to the landlord or their attorney. By filling out this Eviction Answer Guide and emailing it to the opposing party (or their attorney if they have one), will meet the requirement to answer the complaint and avoid a default judgment. Using this form does not create an attorney-client relationship with People's Legal Aid or any of the attorneys that work with or volunteer for People's Legal Aid.
